Take time each day of VC2019 for Making Connections!
The Making Connections sessions provide a time and space for you to talk about and make sense of the day’s sessions, and to tie the major concepts of networks, creativity, and collaboration back to the Family Readiness System.
Bob Bertsch (MFLN) and Eddy Mentzer (DoD) will take your questions, solicit your thoughts and insights from the day’s sessions, and support your deeper understanding of and your contributions to the spirit and intent of the Family Readiness System.
Bob has a passion for building human networks, especially those focused on collective action. He seeks and shares insights on weaving collaborative networks and on developing a culture of innovation through his work with MLFN, with North Dakota State University Extension Service, and as the host of the “Working Differently in Extension” podcast.
C. Eddy Mentzer brings more than 27 years of personal and professional experience in supporting military families through a variety of roles across the Department of Defense and Federal Government. He assumed the duties of associate director in the DoD’s Office of Military Family Readiness Policy in August 2014. As associate director, he is responsible for managing the DoD’s family readiness and well-being policies and programs. Mr. Mentzer grew up in a military family, is married to an Active Duty Air Force Colonel and is the parent of a military child. This combination of professional and personal experience allows him to bring a unique perspective to the programs he oversees
