Hope McMaster, Ph.D.

 

Hope McMaster, Ph.D. has been a research psychologist with the Millennium Cohort Family Study since it was originally proposed and funded in 2010. She is the lead investigator for all foundational papers. As the lead investigator for the Family Study’s Mental Health Domain, Dr. McMaster has created a portfolio of research that includes investigations of spouse baseline mental health, risk and protective factors for spouse depression, the role of service member PTSD symptom clusters on spouse depression, access to military services and community factors on spouse mental health, and the role of separation from military on spouse mental health. Dr. McMaster is currently the Deputy PI of the Family Study, and PI of the newly funded Millennium Cohort Study of Adolescent Resilience (SOAR). Dr. McMaster has a Ph.D. in social psychology from Saint Louis University, is a former military spouse, and the mother of two military kids.
