Connecting military family service providers and Cooperative Extension through
online professional development

America’s military families have unique needs. To respond to those needs, thousands of military service providers and Cooperative Extension educators provide support, training, and resources to families on and off military installations and in our communities.

The Military Families Learning Network invites military family service providers and Cooperative Extension professionals to online professional development opportunities where they can exchange experiences, resources, and research to enhance professional impact and professional growth.

From Our Participants

“I’ve been a [social worker] for decades, and I’m excited about the new (to me) topics and areas I can learn about that might not be available at other trainings not geared to military families.”

“Absolutely worth every minute of attending. The technical and audio was excellent, the speakers were well prepared. I loved having the session materials available beforehand, during, and after. The immediate availability of webinars was outstanding to go back and fill in parts I needed. Topics seemed to cater to many different fields. Questions of CE tests were right on and helped me learn and connect dots even as I was taking the test. The chats were so insightful and helpful for extra resources and links. The moderators were so encouraging and professional. Just truly an all-around excellent and professional conference—really well done! Thank you for all the hard work and long hours to facilitate it!”

“If I didn’t get the ‘latest and greatest from Barb each December, I would keep doing the same-old same-old, using the same old sources and studies and resources.  She keeps me on my toes!”
